Individuals and corporations sometimes make donations to the McDowell Foundation to honour the memory of a teacher or other individual who has passed away. Similarly, many financial contributions are received from groups, individuals and organizations in order to:

• honour someone at a significant personal or career milestone,

• commemorate a special event, or

• recognize the contribution that an individual has made to an event or project.

The McDowell Foundation informs individuals or groups who have been recognized through third-party donations, or their families in the case of memorial donations. A record of all third-party donations is kept on display in the Foundation's offices and on this website.
